PURPOSE:To form an image of invariably high quality with simple constitution by arranging a circulation specifying member which removes a developer nonmovement area between a developer carrying member and a lower conveying member at a specific interval. CONSTITUTION:A developer agitated by a lower screw 9 reaches a developing sleeve 71 to develop a latent image on a photosensitive body A. The circulation specifying member 14 is adhered onto a developer leak member 11 at the intermediate position between the screw 9 and sleeve 71 so that the gap between the flank and screw is 1.0-2.0mm and the gap to the sleeve is 1.5-2.5mm. Consequently, the developer sent to the sleeve 71 is guided, and its nonmovement area is removed substantially to reduce the necessary amount of the developer, thereby obtaining an image of invariably high quality. |
