PURPOSE:To provide a processing method which is low in toxicity, meets the requirement for prevention of environmental pollution and provides a high bleaching rate by executing a bleaching process or bleach fixing process in the presence of the compd. expressed by the formula or the salt thereof. CONSTITUTION:The bleaching process or bleach fixing process is executed in the presence of the compd. expressed by the formula or the salt thereof in a color photographic processing method by which an exposed silver halide color photographic sensitive material is subjected to color development then to the bleaching process or fixing process or bleach fixing process. The standard amt. of use in the stage of introducing the compd. into the photosensitive material is in a 2X10<-5>-3X10<-3>mol/m<2> range and the standard amt. of use in the stage of introducing the same into the bleaching bath is in a 5.0X10<-4>-1mol/l range. The bleaching power is thus improved without debasing the other photographic characteristics in the bleaching process or bleach fixing process using the compd. having the weak bleaching power, more particularly ferric ion complex salt or persulfate.
