A concealed hinge comprises two shells Al and A2 of identical profiles (e.g. cylindrical) which are inserted .into the members to be hinged, and connected by a link L which is a curved plate fixed into shell A2 by a pin F and connected to the other shell firstly by a pin P1 .fixed near the end of the link and moving in a .pair of straight grooves G in shell A1 and secondly by the pin P. attached to the shell A1 and moving in an arcuate groove S in the link. The strip J serves to conceal the space between the hinged members when the hinge is in the "closed" position. The shells may be of metal and fixed by screws positioned in suitable semi-circular grooves in the sides of the shells (Figs. 5 and 6, not shown) or of plastic and fixed by screws passing through suitable flanges attached to the shells (Figs. 10, 11 and 12, not shown). |
