PURPOSE:To make both of a right-eye picture and left-eye picture exist in an one-field picture and flickers unsensible, by alternately projecting the right- eye and left-eye pictures by switching them to each other at every one-horizontal scanning period. CONSTITUTION:Right-eye picture and left-eye pictures from projector device 1 and 2 produced from the TV signals of an NTAC are respectively projected upon a projection screen 6 through polarizing plates 3 and 4, but the right-eye and left-eye pictures are alternately projected by switching them at every one- horizontal scanning period by means of s witching means 5. Therefore, scanning lines of both pictures exist in an one-field picture as shown by Figs. (a) and (b). Since the right-eye and left-eys pictures passing through the polarizing plates 3 and 4 can only be seen through a right-eye and left-eye polarizing plates 7 and 8, respectively, th solid line part shown in Figs. (a) and (b) can be seen by the right eye and broken line part can be seen by the left eye. Therefore, the entire field picture can be seen by both eyes and the bright-dark time frequency of eyes namely coincident with the updating frequency of the field picture, namely twice of conventional ones. As a result, flickers become almost unsensible. |
