The invention relates to a wave-shed weaving machine with a rotating weaving roller, having a multiplicity of sinkers which are lined up next to one another and which possess at least one drive and stop tooth, each of these teeth forming a continuous screw flight on the weaving roller, and each sinker being detained by means of a radial projection in a continuous spiral groove which is worked into the surface of the bush lined up on the drive shaft and connected positively to the latter. The purpose of simplifying the construction of the weaving roller is served by the object of using sinker segments for constructing the weaving roller. According to the invention, a sinker-segment end and the radial projection of the sinker segment each form an oppositely directed bearing face, the bearing face of the radial projection engaging under a bearing face of the spiral groove in the bush, and the bearing face of the sinker-segment end engaging under a clamping strip which is arranged displaceably in the direction of the spiral groove on the bush and lockably. <IMAGE>
