PURPOSE:To contrive to improve the operational convenience and reliability of parts by a method wherein the delivery of high temperature water just after the start of hot water supply is eliminated. CONSTITUTION:A pipe 3b led from a hot water supply pipe 2b is inserted in an accumulator 12 provided on the outlet side of a heat exchanger from the above by the dimension of (h). One end of a feed water by-pass circuit 13, the other end of which is connected to the accumulator 12, is connected up the inlet part of the hot water supply pipe 2b. A feed water by-pass valve 14 arranged in the circuit 13 is closed when only hot service water is used, while is open for a short period of time (within 1min) at the start of hot water supply when hot water is supplied during heating is in use. When the supply of hot water is started during heating, the by-pass valve 14 is open for a short period of time so as to send cold water in the accumulator 12 in order to be mixed with the high temperature hot water also sent from the hot water supply pipe 2b and discharged from a faucet 4 in the form of hot water of the mixture of the cold water and high temperature hot water. Consequently, no abnormally high temperature hot water is discharged and no under-shooting occurs, resulting in improving the operational convenience. In addition, because the accumulator can absorb the increased volume of water due to the expansion of service hot water, the frequency of actuation of a safety valve is reduced. |
