PURPOSE:To facilitate the analysys of a complicated transmission procedure by devising the titled equipment that brake data to an incoming side data or/and outgoing side data at each specific bit. CONSTITUTION:In setting brake data, a numeric key '1' (not shown) on an operation board 2 is depressed and a character display corresponding to a bit having a cursor is changed into '1'. As the brake data, it is possible to set the brake data hat only one bit is made significant as 'XXX1 XXXX' (in this case, bit b4) or all 8-bit b7-b0 are made significant as '1100 0011' (C3H) easily. A CPU 1 inputs an incoming transmission data TD and an outgoing transmission data RD from a serial transmission line L as a transmission data Di, discriminate whether or not the transmission data Di (incoming transmission data TD) is coincident with the preset incoming brake data TD1 and sets a coincident flag F1 when they are coincident.
