PURPOSE:To easily confirm input data while eyes stare at the cursor position by displaying alphabetical input data before converting the KANA (Japanese syllabary) character from a key input means at a cursor position by a half pitch and displaying a character after converting to the cursor position with the whole width for KANA character conversion. CONSTITUTION:When the alphabet is inputted from a key input means 10 by pressing down an alphabetical character key, the alphabet is displayed at a displaying device 30, and at such a time, the character composed of the alphabetical string is displayed as a half width character. On the other hand, when the character is converted to the KANA character, the character after conversion is displayed with a whole width.
