A scraper device for a belt or like conveyor comprises a scraper blade which, in plan view, is of curved configuration, which may be either concave or convex in terms of the direction of movement of the conveyor run being cleaned or scraped. This configuration of scraper device obviates or mitigates the tendency of the blade of the scraper device to wear initially at the centre of the blade. The scraper blade assembly preferably comprises a curved channel 20 with packs of blades along the channel. The scraper blade is adapted to be supported across the conveyor at each end thereof by a mounting structure adjustable through an angle, preferably 360 DEG , to permit variation in the position of the scraper blade relative to the mounting structure, whereby the scraper device can be fitted to a conveyor whatever its disposition or attitude. <IMAGE> |
