PURPOSE:To execute the calculating processing of a complicated curved surface with a simple interpolating calculation by connecting easily the mutual section between adjoining patches under the condition of a tangent plane continuity. CONSTITUTION:Out of many patches, the first and second adjacent patches S(u,v)1 and S(u,v)2 are designated, composed of one step fine coefficient of a vector function to show the first patch, the first tangent rectors a0-a3 composed of two vectors on the direction along a sharing border COM of the said first patch and the direction to cross the COM are obtained, composed of one step fine coefficient of the vector function to show the second patch, the second tangent vector C0-C3 of the direction along the sharing border COM of the second patch and the direction to cross the COM are obtained, the first and second tangent vectors are set so that the conditions of the tangent plane continuity can be established in the above-mentioned sharing border, and by the first and second set tangent vectors a1, a2 and c1, c2, the position designated in the first and second patches is used as internal control points P(11)1, P(12)1 and P(11)2, P(12)2.
