PURPOSE:To attain quickly a distributing work by making a granule flow down by a fixed quantity each onto an endless path for executing a cyclic motion, forming a uniform rib, and determining a unit rib length of the granule to be packed to a unit package from its overall length and distribution number. CONSTITUTION:When a granule is put into a hopper 10 and a driving switch is turned on, the granule of a fixed quantity flows out of a discharge port 12, and a rib C of the granule is formed on the upper face of a running belt conveyor 7. Passing of the rib C is detected by a sensor 4, the number of transmitting pulses of an encoder 5 in the course of its passing is counted by a microcomputer (MC) 29, and this count number becomes an arithmetic data of a unit rib length. Also, to the MC 29, the distributing number is inputted in advance, and a calculation for dividing the number of pulses which are transmitted from the encoder 5, by the distributing number is executed. When the tip of the rib C reaches the lower part of a scraping device 6, a pulse motor 8 is driven by the number of pulses of this calculated value and stopped. As a result, the granule is fed into the device 6 by a driven portion, and the MC 29 decides it and moves the device 6, and scrapes down the granule to the downstream side.
