PURPOSE:To facilitate the operation by connecting a sender to a facsimile store and forward exchange automatically when a destination facsimile equipment is busy and sending the address of the destination facsimile equipment while interfacing with the facsimile store and forward exchange. CONSTITUTION:When the destination facsimile equipment 3 is busy and not connected, a connection confirming circuit 13 does not connected and sends a connection confirming signal to a CPU 16, which receives the signal and gives an instruction to a network controller 12 in a way that the calling to the destination facsimile equipment 13 is interrupted. After the network controller 12 is restored, the CPU 16 reads the subscriber number of the facsimile store and forward exchange 6 from a memory 14, it is sent to a line 19 via the network controller 12 to give a call to the facsimile store and forward exchange 6. When the connection with the facsimile store and forward exchange 6 is finished, the connection confirming circuit 13 sends a connection confirming signal to the CPU 16, from which the connection with the facsimile store and forward exchange 6 is informed to the sender.
