PURPOSE:To measure automatically and with a high accuracy the center of a lens transmission light by constituting the titled device so that a circular pattern light can be used as an incident light to a lens. CONSTITUTION:A television camera 212 to which a lens to be measured 211 has been attached is attached to a rotary base 213, so that it can rotate centering around an optical axis A of this lens 211. Also, an auto collimator 214 used as a projector for irradiating a reference pattern as parallel rays L1 is installed obliquely in the surface containing the optical axis A, so that an irradiated light turns to a spot on a production to the upper part of the optical axis A of the lens 211. Also, a mirror 217 is provided so that its angle is variable, through a fitting member 216 for moving a moving shaft 215. In such a state, a circular slit light from a slit light source becomes parallel rays L1 by the collimator 214, therefore, the rays L1 which have transmitted through the lens 211 are also the circular pattern light and brought to an image pickup by the television camera 212. In such a way, the center point of a transmission light of the lens 211 can be derived automatically and with a high accuracy.
