A knob 8 having a D-shape opening 9 is mounted on the flattened end of a shaft 7 and retained thereon by a U-shaped clip 1 stamped from a spring steel strip and including a straight leg 2 having serrations 5 and fully received in a radial groove in the knob, and a convex leg 3 extending at its flattened centre 3a into the opening 9 from its groove 10 to abut the flattened shaft end, the free end of the leg 3 comprising a claw 6 co-operating with the bottom of the groove 10 to retain the knob on the clip. |
