PURPOSE:To reproduce stably a transmitted data by detecting a transmission burst period of a data from a sent synchronizing signal and closing a feedback loop of a carrier recovery only during the transmission data burst period. CONSTITUTION:When a reception input signal is demodulated normally and a demodulation output signal is obtained at demodulation outputs 4, 4', data strobe is applied in a clock synchronously with the data in a data strobe circuit 13 and the synchronizing signal is detected from the data sent from a data synchronizing detection circuit 14, a digital signal processing circuit 15 detects and corrects an error caused in the transmission in response to synchronizing signal to obtain a digital data output at an output 16. A sample and holding circuit 8 is operated to cause the sample state only during the period of a 4-phase signal sent in burst and to cause the holding state during other periods. Thus, the phase of a correct carrier is recovered quickly and stably.
