PURPOSE:To improve the discharge efficiency of lube oil, by utilizing the negative pressure of an engine for discharging the lube oil to the side of a reserve tank, in the engine whose mechanism for discharging the lube oil in the crank case of the engine to the reserve tank makes an oil pan unnecessary. CONSTITUTION:During running of an engine 11, the lube oil of a reserve tank 12 is supplied to a lubricating section 27 by means of an oil pump 25 and is fallen down to the lower section 11a of the engine along an oil path 27a, while, since the negative pressure produced in the inlet manifold 19 of the engine 11 works the interior of the tank 12 via an opening section 13 through a two- way valve 16 and so on, the lube oil collected in the lower section 11a of the engine is discharged from an exhaust pipe path 22 to the tank 12 until the lube pressure and negative pressure in the tank 12 balance due to the work of a float 14. Stopping of the engine 11 causes the negative pressure on the side of the tank 12 to close a check valve 18 maintaining the negative pressure in the reserve tank 12 constant. |
