<p>PURPOSE:To improve the operativity of file retrieval by displaying name informa tion on a directory which is specified selectively and name information on a directory or file connecting with the directory on the same image plane. CONSTITUTION:A file retrieval program 11A inputs a command from a keyboard 1 or mouse 2 and reads information on the directory indicated by an operator out of a hard disk device 8. The read information on the directory is stored in the 1st file information block 12B constituted on a main memory 12, one piece of file information in the 2nd file information block 12C is stored in the 1st file information block 12B according to the indication of the directory by the mouse 2, and the 1st and the 2nd file information blocks 12B and 12C are used to perform display processing on the screen of a CRT display 4.</p> |
