PURPOSE:To perform fixation with dynamic impact force by arranging a vibration member so that it collides against the back surface of unfixed toner image carrier paper which is conveyed with a high frequency from a high-frequency generator. CONSTITUTION:This toner fixing device consists of a hard roll 1, a means 4 which brings the conveyed unfixed tone image carrier paper into contact with the hard roll 1, the high-frequency generator 3, and the vibrating member 2, which is no arranged as to collide against the back surface of the conveyed unfixed toner image carrier paper with the high frequency. A roll formed by plating the surface of iron-based metal of about 20-40mm in diameter with hard chromium is used suitably as the hard roll 1 and hardly vibrates even when colliding repeatedly with the high frequency, so impact pressure at the time of the collision is generated effectively. Pressure required for fixation is about 150-250kg/cm<2> and when radius of the collision surface is 5mm, the length of the vibrating member is 220mm, and the mass of the vibrating member is 200g, the necessary speed of the vibrating member is 50-100cm/sec. Consequently, fixation is performed with the dynamic impact force.
