PURPOSE:To stabilize the application of a developing bias voltage and to attain weight reduction and improvement in strength by providing a conductive member which is fixed to a shaft part during molding to the external peripheral surface of at least one shaft part. CONSTITUTION:Columnar shaft parts are extended lengthwise from both ends of a roll body part 1 and cylindrical collars 3 are provided as conductive members to the outer peripheral surfaces of the shaft parts 2. The cylindrical collars may be nonmagnetic for magnetic bodies. The collars 3 as the conductive members are arranged at specific positions in a mold and then the collars 3 are fixed to the peripheries of the shaft parts 2 of the magnet roll. In this case, an injection gate for injection molding is set preferably at the positions of the collars 3. Consequently, the bias voltage can be applied to the nonmagnetic sleeve through the conductive members and the structure is therefore simplified, thereby suppressing variation in size with temperature to an extremely small value.
