PURPOSE:To improve braking efficiency by combinedly connecting a proportioning valve to a deceleration sensing type valve, to set the proportion of rear wheel brake force to front wheel brake force to nearly an ideal distribution. CONSTITUTION:When the pressure of a master cylinder has reached a described pressure P1, a PV (proportioning valve ) 14 proportionally reduces hydraulic pressure applied to rear wheels, with respect to the master cylinder pressure and, when deceleration above a defined value has occurred, a GPV (deceleration sensing valve) 11 closes a flow passage to rear wheel brakes with a G-pole being seated on a valve seat. The output port 12 of the GPV 11 is connected to the rear wheel brakes, the input port 13 of the GPV 11 is connected to the output port 15 of the PV 14, and the input port 16 on the PV 14 is connected to the master cylinder, thereby, connecting both valves 11, 14 in an integrated form. The pressure P1 is set to an intermediate value between brake pressures generated at a described deceleration under both loaded and unloaded conditions, respectively.
