A pipe connector to connect a gas feed pipe to a static gas supply pipe comprises a body 4 provided with an inlet 14 and an outlet 8 intercommunicating via a passageway. A valve (32 - Fig. 3) is arranged to close the passage automatically. In use the inlet is clamped to a first union 46 connected to the supply pipe and the outlet is arranged to receive a second tubular union 62 connected to the feed pipe. The second union is clamped to the body of a nut 68. The valve is arranged so as to be opened by insertion of the second union into the outlet and to be maintained open by the presence of the second union in the outlet. The body is provided with a bracket 18 which can be used to secure the connector body to a wall or other support. <IMAGE> |
