PURPOSE:To prevent the buckling of a linear body by stopping a driving source when a swelling due to loosening of winding of said linear body and a belt board which are wound on a drum, is detected in a device in which the wearing of a seat belt is automatically performed in response to the opening and closing of a door. CONSTITUTION:In the captioned device, a belt guide member 9 which slides along a guide rail 8 provided on a vehicle side part, is provided on the end of a flexible linear body 21 which is advanced and contracted by a driving device 20 in response to the opening and closing of a door 2. The driving device 20 has a first drum 25 on which the base end of the linear body 21 and one end of a belt board 29 are stopped while these linear body 21 and belt board 29 are wound up, and a second drum 28 on which the other end of the belt board 29 is stopped and the belt board 29 is wound up. And, a swelling detecting means 43 is provided on a casing 22 opposite to the outer periphery of the first drum 25 and, when the swelling of the linear body 21 and the belt board 29 due to loosening of winding is detected, feed or electricity to a driving motor connected to the shaft of the first drum 25 is stopped. |
