PRODUCTION FOR COLOR LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

PURPOSE:To easily and surely align a cell and a filter by providing holes for alignment on the liquid crystal cell using polymer film substrates and the color filter and aligning them on a basis of these holes. CONSTITUTION:It is necessary that an electrode pattern of a liquid crystal cell 13 using polymer film substrates and a color pattern of a filter 21 are aligned accurately in a color liquid crystal display device. Holes 31 and 33 for alignment are provided on the filter 21 and the liquid crystal cell 13 respectively. In case of assembling, a pin 43 of an alignment jig 41 is inserted to the hole 31 of the filter 21 and is inserted to the hole 33 of the liquid crystal call 13 and is fixed with an adhesive. Since substrate end faces are not used as the reference but holes for alignment which can be worked accurately are used as the reference, the liquid crystal cell 13 and the filter 21 are aligned easily and surely.
