摘要 PURPOSE:To suppress fading phenomenon of a subject by finding the difference between R-Y and B-Y color difference signals and controlling modulation level of R-Y modulation axis and B-Y modulation axis of a rectangular modulating circuit to the direction of no modulation basing on the value and thereby following up change of color temperature of reflected light from a subject. CONSTITUTION:Signal processing is made by signal processing circuits such as Y, R, B separating circuits 13-15, gain control amplifiers 17, 18, color difference detecting circuits 19, 20, etc. basing on signals of red group and blue group contained in output from an image pickup element 11 and luminance signals, and color difference signals R-Y, B-Y are outputted. Chroma signals are generated by a rectangular modulating circuit 21 basing on the color difference signals R-Y, B-Y. Each of color difference signals R-Y, B-Y is applied to a difference detecting circuit 42 of block 100 from integrating circuits 23, 26, and the difference is detected. Output of the circuit 42 is compared with reference voltage of the first and second reference power source 45, 46 by comparator circuits 43, 44, and amplifiers 17, 18 are controlled by output of circuits 43, 44.
