PURPOSE:To obtain the recording material efficient in ink absorbency and the durability of picture in recording and to obtain the ink receiving layer without stickiness even under high-humidity conditions, by forming the anchor coat layer insoluble in water soluble organic solvent on the substrate. CONSTITUTION:In the material to be recorded consisting of a substrate and the ink receiving layer provided on the substrate, the anchor coat layer insoluble in water soluble organic solvent is formed on the substrate. The anchor coat layer is formed on the surface on which the ink receiving layer of the substrate is to be provided, and is insoluble in water soluble organic solvent. Further, it should preferably be sufficiently adhesive to both the substrate and the ink receiving layer. Especially preferable are reactive or crosslinkable polyester resin, polyamide resin, acryl resin, etc., and polyhalogenated vinyl resin durable to water soluble organic solvent is also preferable. In order to form the anchor coat layer from such a resin, coating solution is prepared by dissolving resin in a suitable solvent, the coating solution is applied on the substrate and dried or, if necessary, crosslinked by heating. |
