PURPOSE:To lock and unlock a hub lock plate smoothly and securely at any time by fixing the intermediate fixation part of a spring member to a main body case side and pressing a right and a left arm part elastically against to the hub lock plate at a right and a left nearly-symmetrical position. CONSTITUTION:Hubs 3 to be wound with a tape are put and arranged rotatably in the main body case 1 and the hub lock plate 17 for stopping hub rotation is mounted movably between a lock position where the hub lock plate 17 contacts and engages a hub 3 and an unlock position where it disengages from the hub 3. Then, the spring member 22 which presses the hub lock plate 17 toward the lock position have the intermediate fixation part 22a and arm parts 22b and 22b extending from the fixation part 22a to right and left in one body and is extended between the main body case 1 and hub lock plate 17 to constitute a tape cartridge. The intermediate fixation part 22a of the spring member 22 is fixed to the main body case 1 and the right and left arm parts 22b and 22b are pressed elastically against the hub lock plate 17 at the right and left almost-symmetrical positions.
