PURPOSE:To simplify the registration of dial information by providing a control section recording abbreviated dial information stored in a storage section on an auxiliary storage medium via an auxiliary storage section and registering the dial number information recorded on the auxiliary storage medium on the storage section. CONSTITUTION:A button switch section 7, a display section 6, a storage section 10, an auxiliary storage section 20, an auxiliary storage medium 21 and a control section 8 are added to a conventional telephone set comprising a handset 1, a telephone circuit network 2, a changeover section 3, a call section 4 and a dial section 5. The control section 8 displays the abbreviated dial inputted from the switch section 7 on the display section 6, stores it in the storage section 10 and records the abbreviated dial information stored in the storage section 10 on the medium 21 via the storage section 20, and further controls the switch section 7, the display section 6 and the storage section 20 to register the dial number information recorded in the medium 21 on the storage section 10. Thus, the registration of the dial information is simplified.
