PURPOSE:To improve the secrecy and the leak preventing capability by collating encoded original feature information with specific password information to judge whether copying of an original should be permitted or not. CONSTITUTION:When a user places a confidential original to be copied on an original platen and inputs a prescribed password number with a ten key 23, the password number is converted to a prescribed code by a ten key control circuit 24, and code information is sent to a main control part 21. The main control part 21 judges that copying is permitted if code information from a signal processing circuit 22 and that from the circuit 24 coincide with each other as the result of collation between them, and the main control part 21 judges that copying is rejected if both information do not coincide with each other. If it is judged that copying is permitted, the main control part 21 continues the normal copying operation; but if it is judged that copying is rejected, the main control part 21 sends a copy reject instruction to a lamp control circuit 25, a shutter control circuit 26, or an electric charge erase control circuit 27. |
