PURPOSE:To improve an efficiency of operation in a boiler by a method wherein a light receiving portion is directed to base portions of a plurality of flames, an electrical signal is sent to an electrical signal conversion device through an optical fiber, and a burner combustion element is controlled through conversion of numerical values and ratio of preferable combustion condition. CONSTITUTION:Flames are introduced through a fine scope 21, lens 24 and TV camera 26 and optically divided into green, blue and red, thereafter they are converted into an electrical signal and further converted into a digital signal through A/D converter 27. The signals are displayed on a monitor TV 28. An image of flames is divided into plural sections, data of each of the sections are inputted to a central processing unit 30, images concerning three colors are further divided into several hundred picture elements and sent to the central processing unit 30. The central processing unit 30 compares with a predetermined preferable combustion condition and outputs a burner combustion element control signal. With this arrangement, intervention of a man is eliminated and efficiency of operation of a boiler is improved. |
