PURPOSE:To reduce magnetic bubble transfer errors and to improve magnetic bubble transfer characteristics by specifying the magnetic bubble entrance side pattern of a detector. CONSTITUTION:The pattern DP of a magnetic bubble detector which converts the presence/absence state of a magnetic bubble into an electric signal has two inflection points C1 and C2 in its entrance-side pattern DPI and is curved inward; and the width W is so determined that d<=W<=2d, where (d) is the diameter of a magnetic bubble. Fine repulsive magnetic poles are formed at the inflection points C1 and C2 because of the shape and an error mode due to the upward expansion of a magnetic bubble transferred to the entrance terminal is eliminated. Further, the width W to the diameter (d) is limited to suppress a decrease in bubble transfer margin. Consequently, magnetic bubble transfer errors are reduced to improve magnetic bubble transfer characteristics.
