<p>PURPOSE:To attain automatic searching by searching a calender time where the latest tape position lies after all tape positions where the calender time becomes discontinuous are detected while the calender time recorded on a magnetic tape is fast forwarded and read. CONSTITUTION:A digital audio tape device records the calender time at a recording point by subcodes as well as digital sound data on the magnetic tape. By depressing a recording final point searching key 16, a signal processing part 13 issues a rewind instruction to a tape feed control part 14. Upon the completion of tape rewinding, the processing part 13 receives the read-out digital signal through a recording and reproducing circuit 12 by speedily forwarding the tape, and detects the tape position where the calender time becomes discontinuous. After the all tape positions where the calender time becomes discontinuous are detected, the tape position where the calender time is latest is searched among them. Thus the recording final point can be automatically searched.</p> |
