PURPOSE:To form inexpensively a photodetector almost free from restriction on the direction of light beams to be received by constituting the photodetector of a single photodetecting part and plural optical fibers, converging one end of the plural optical fibers, connecting the converged end to the photodetecting part, and dispersely arranging the other end so that light beams radiated from many directions can be received. CONSTITUTION:The photodetector 7 consists of the photodetecting part 8 and plural optical fibers 9. One end of the optical fibers 9 is converged and connected to the photodetecting part 8 and the other end is radially opened to the outside direction so that the cross sections 10 of the optical fibers 9 are positioned on a circumference. Consequently, a light beam radiated from a direction other than the front of the photodetector 8 by an optical transmitter 3 is also made incident on any one of the cross sections 10 of the optical fibers 9, detected by the photodetecting part 8 through the optical fibers 9 and transferred to an optical signal decoding means 4. |
