PURPOSE:To reduce the size of an immunological measurement (EIA) instrument by rolling beads in vessels by the attraction and repulsion effects of magnetic materials thereby stirring reactive liquid. CONSTITUTION:The strongly magnetized beads B are housed in the vessels 4. The beads B are held attracted to permanent magnets RN if the magnetic field in the lower part of the beads B are an S pole and the magnets RN facing a base body (r) are an N pole. The beads do not, therefore, roll in the vessels 4. The magnetic field, on the bottom surface of the beads B and the magnetic field of the magnets RS have the same S pole when the vessels 4 are transferred atop the magnets RS. The beads B are, therefore, rolled by the repulsion effect in the vessels 4 so that the magnetic field of the bottom surface thereof changes to the N pole. The reactive liquid in the vessels 4 is thereby stirred. The rolling effects are repeated by the transfer of the vessels 4 in the above-mentioned manner, by which the reactive liquid in the vessels 4 is thoroughly stirred. Since the stirring of the reactive liquid is executed by utilizing the beads essential for the EIA analysis in the above-mentioned manner, the constitution is made extremely simple and the size of the instrument is reduced.
