PURPOSE:To reduce a burden of a software of a host device by providing a storage means of a printing data containing an editing/converting instruction from the host device, a data editing/converting means, and a storage means of a result of editing, on a printing device. CONSTITUTION:A printing data containing an editing/converting instruction which has been transferred through an interface part 5 from a host device is stored in an input data storage part 3. Subsequently, the printing data containing the editing instruction, which has been stored in the storage part 2 is decoded, brought to an editing conversion so as to become a printing data to a printing part 2, and the data is stored in a printing data storage part 4. When the editing conversion is all completed, a control part 1 transfers the data of the input data storage part 4 to the printing part 2 and makes it execute a printing operation. In this way, a burden of a software of the host device can be reduced.
