PURPOSE:To make the rubber viscosity the vulcanization rate uniform and stable in masticating and blending masterbatches or vulcanization systems, by measuring mechanical energy and temperature applied to rubber in blending the rubber in a kneading apparatus, preparing parameters and controlling the blending. CONSTITUTION:Mechanical energy applied to rubbers in blending the rubbers in a rubber kneading apparatus and temperature at that time are measured and reaction rate is continuously measured at each time from the temperature during blending to prepare parameters from the integral values of the above- mentioned mechanical energy with the amount of reaction. The blending control is carried out on the basis of the parameters. The amount of thermal history (Th) which is a normalized value considering the blending time and reaction rate and defined by the formula is used as a control factor related to the amount of reaction. If either one of integral values of the mechanical energy and temperature measurement exceeds the set upper limit or both are blow the set upper limit and parameter values which are the sum of both exceeds set value of release, the kneading is completed. |
