The present invention provides a method for the heat-treatment of virus-containing immunoglobulins in a dry state and in the presence of at least one stabilizer selected from sugar alcohols and disaccharides for the inactivation of the virus contained therein. By the present dry heat-treatment, the virus contained in the immunoglobulin can fully be inactivated and further, the stability and the water-solublity of the heat-treated immunoglobulin can be improved.
