PURPOSE:The titled resin having improved characteristics such as optical properties, weather resistance, hardness, etc., obtained by polymerizing a polymerizable syrup containing methyl methacrylate, a reactive elastomer, a maleimide compound, etc., in a specific ratio. CONSTITUTION:A polymerizable spyrup consisting of (A) 0.5-50wt% reactive elastomer, (B) 0.5-50wt% maleimide compound (e.g., N- tribromophenylmaleimide, etc.,) shown by formula I [R is H, 1-15C alkyl, cycloalkyl or (substituted) aryl], (C) 40-99wt% methyl methacrylate and (D) 0-40wt% another monomer (e.g., methyl acrylate, etc.,) copolymerizable with them is polymerized to give the aimed resin. The component A is preferably obtained by reacting an elastomer containing a free coarboxyl group with an unsaturated aziridine compound (e.g., compound shown by formula II, etc.,) containing an aziridine group and one or more radically reactive unsaturated groups in one molecule.
