PURPOSE:To improve a cost down, the magnetizing property, and the like, by applying a specific structure for magnetizing coils. CONSTITUTION:Coils L1-L12, and coils La, Lc, Le, and Lg which are at the angles of a multiple of 90 deg. are in a same plane crossing squarely the tube axis, and the other coils Lb, Ld, Lf, and Lh have a small distance D as shown in the figure. Therefore, magnetic fields Ha and Hb magnetized by the coils L1-L12 have almost the same functioning points when they function against electron beams R-B making it possible to perform a sufficient convergence correction. Since the points where the magnetic fields Ha-Hd function to the beams R-B are almost the same, all the magnetic fields Ha-Hd can be made to function at the optimum points of the beams R-B. Therefore, it is not required to make some magnetic field or fields stronger exceptionally, and consequently, the magnetizing coils of the magnetizing device can be simplified.
