PURPOSE:To provide the titled reactor capable of effectively utilizing CO2, and reducing the running cost, by recovering unutilized CO2 in the reactor, and recycling the recovered unutilized CO2 to the reactor. CONSTITUTION:CO2 supplied from the CO2 bomb 10 is mixed with air fed from the compressor 20 by the mixer 30, and the mixture is supplied to the photo- synthetic reactor 40. A photo-synthetic reactant is subjected to the photo-synthetic reaction with CO2 by the aid of light L. The CO2-containing air is separated from the culture medium in the tank 50 for separating the CO2-containing air, and the separated CO2-containing air is fed to the medium supply tank 60. The pH in the tank 60 is controlled at about 8, and the supplied CO2 is converted to HCO3 and absorbed in the medium. The lowering of the pH of the medium is compensated by the replenishing liquid medium having high pH value and supplied from the medium replenishing tank 70, and the medium maintained at about 8pH is supplied to the photo-synthetic reactor 40.
