1,182,170. Hydrocarbon-urea adducts. EDELEANU G.m.b.H. 18 Dec., 1967 [13 June, 1967], No. 57385/67. Heading C5E. A method of producing a granular adduct suitable for screening from a finely crystalline adduct obtained upon dewaxing a hydrocarbon oil with urea by increasing the temperature of the mixture of finely crystalline adduct, dewaxed oil and oil solvent comprises supplying the requisite quantity of heat directly to the mixture by injecting thereinto a quantity of a vapour the heat of condensation of which is effective to increase the temperature. The vapour added may be water vapour or the vapour of the oil solvent. A small amount of liquid water (insufficient by itself to bring about granulation) may be added. The oil solvent may be methylene chloride.
