A clutch plate has a central flange located between two side plates(5), with intermediate plates(16) providing a friction hold. Friction pads are offset W.r.t each other on the two intermediate rings and have different diameters. One set of friction pads acts in one direction, and the other set in the other direction. The pads are offset radially and aperate independently to each other.
