PURPOSE:A melt moldable composition, obtained by melt blending polyvinyl alcohol with a polyamide based resin and capable of being molded articles, e.g. films, pipes, etc., having improved antistatic and soiling preventing proper ties. CONSTITUTION:A composition obtained by melt blending (A) 20-80pts.wt. polyvinyl alcohol with (B) 80-20pts.wt. polyamide based resin. the resultant composition is hot-molded to give a molded article having 10<12>-10<6>OMEGA surface resistivity value. Polyvinyl alcohol, containing >=97mol% vinyl alcohol units as a monomer and having 500-4,000 polymerization degree is preferred for the component (A). A copolyamide, prepared by blending nylon 6 with nylon 6, 6 at 97:3-80:20 weight ratio and having <=230 deg.C melting point is preferred for the component (B). |
