METHOD FOR MEASURING TSH-BETA SUBUNIT

PURPOSE:To easily measure a TSH-beta subunit by using a monoclonal antibody as an antibody in the stage of quantitatively determining the TSH-beta subunit. CONSTITUTION:The monoclonal having specificness only to the TSH-beta subunit is used without substantially labeling the TSH as the antibody in the stage of quantitatively determining the TSH-beta subunit in blood or bodily fluid by the antigen-antibody reaction. This antibody is obtd. by investigating the specificness of the monoclonal antibody generative hybridomas obtd. by the confluence of the spleen cells of the mouse immunized by the TSH or TSH-beta subunit and mouse myeloma cells, selecting hybridoma which generates the monoclonal antibody having the specificness only to the beta-subunit among said hybridomas and propagating the same in an artificial culture or the abdominal cavity of the mouse. The measurement of the TSH-beta subunit by an ordinary immunological measurement method is made easy by using such monoclonal antibody.
