PURPOSE:To immediately detect the abnormality of a driving system for film feed by deciding the abnormality of the driving system for film movement when the absolute value of a difference between the interval of blip marks and a value obtained by integrating a film feeding command speed with time until the generation of the succeeding blip mark after the detection of the preceding blip mark is a prescribed value and over. CONSTITUTION:When it is defined that an interval between adjacent blip marks 21 is S1 and a distance S0 at no detection of a blip mark is S0, S0<S1 is formed. When the film feeding command speed is defined as V, a voltage to be applied to a motor 48 or 50 is determined by the V and the winding diameter of a tape 10. The time integration value of the command speed V is defined as S. When ¦S-S1¦>=epsilon, feed abnormality is decided and the feeding of an electrophotographic film 16 is stopped. Since the feed abnormality can be detected every feeding of one frame of the film 16, abnormality such as jamming in film feeding can be early detected and the film 16 can be prevented from deterioration.
