A beverage-dispensing system and dispensing process using said system has a flexible container 1 which contains the beverage, which may have dissolved carbon dioxide. The beverage is removed via a tube 3 (assisted by a pump 8) in order to be dispensed by a nozzle 5 which has a faucet (cock) 6. Carbon dioxide gases, nitrogen (or another inert gas) and/or air are introduced into the beverage via a passage 11 by means of a fixed orifice restrictor 12 and a retention valve 13. The pressure of the gas introduced is regulated at 14 and the deflector plates 15 are able to provide turbulence in the beverage during dispensing in order to facilitate dissolution of the gas introduced. The device for introducing the gas or gases allows the beverage in the container 1 to have a low carbon dioxide content so that the container is flattened at atmospheric pressure, whilst the beverage dispensed is additionally gasified in order to form cream or foam.
