The feed may comprise an alcohol, ether or ketone or a plurality of oxygen-containing compounds obtained by conversion synthesis gas which is itself obtained from a fossil fuel such as coal, shale oil or oil from tar sands. Suitable zeolites are ferrocrite, brevosterite, stillbite, dachiardite, epistilbite, henlandite, clinoptilolite, ZSM-5 type ZSM-12, ZSM-21 or tetraethylammonium nordenite. The zeolite may be subjected to base exchange with cations of metals of Groups Ib, IIa, IIb, IIIa, IIIb, IVa, IVb or VIII. |
