PURPOSE:To obtain the titled detector which is inexpensive and easily produced by making the emitting direction of light in the radial (radius) direction. CONSTITUTION:The titled detector is provided with a cylindrical photodetecting body 4 installed fixedly, a cylindrical shielding body 3 which is arranged coaxially with the body 4 therein and coupled with a body of rotation and rotates, and a light emitting body 2 which is fixed on the center position of these axes and has the prescribed length in the direction of the axes center. Then, a window 32 to transmit the light from the light emitting body 2 is formed to the shielding body 3 by hollowing out a part of its peripheral wall, and a photodetection part 41 to generate the voltage in accordance with the quantity of light is arranged on the inner surface of the photodetecting body 4 so that the photodetection area is in a shape to make a prescribed function with respect to an angle of rotation.
