A thimble-shape valve element (26) provides inlet and outlet valves in the cylindrial section of the pump body. A pressure accumulation chamber is established between the pump bodg and valve, making an open connection with the chamber via spaced, flexible, extendable straps. The straps interconnect the inlet and outlet valve, allowing part of the valve to move axially to an opening position for discharge. Either the pump piston (37) or valve element provides venting of the valve during inward reciprocal movement of the piston.
