PURPOSE:To make it possible to correct a pincushion distortion at the top and the bottom of the screen, by arranging magnetic bodies close to the transition part of a horizontal deflecting coil near the fluorescent screen side, at the inner side near the horizontal axis and at the outer side near the vertical axis. CONSTITUTION:A horizontal deflecting coil 2 of this deflecting yoke is wound in a saddle form with transition parts 2a, and at the transition part 2a of the fluorescent screen side 8, magnetic bodies 5 are furnished. The form of the magnetic body 5 at the portion 5a near the vertical axis 15 is different from that at the portion 5b near the horizontal axis 14. At least a part of the magnetic body 5a is placed at the inner side of the transition part 2a, while no magnetic body 5b is at the inner side of the transition part 2a, all the body being at the outer side. Since the magnetic field produced by the transition part of the horizontal deflecting coil, and the horizontal deflection leakage magnetic field are variable, a raster form variation is produced, just reverse to a pincushion distortion and a high level distortion liable to produce at a cathode-ray tube with a wide angle deflection, and those distortions can be set off and corrected.
