PURPOSE:To obtain yarn having extremely low fineness variability in the longer direction, by setting a shutter of a specific shape between space just under a spinneret and a cooling chamber of horizontal blow type below the space. CONSTITUTION:A shutter 4' satisfying the following conditions is set between space 3 just under a spinneret 1 of a melt spinning device and a cooling chamber 5 of a hollow blow type below the space. The conditions wherein thickness D of the shutter in the yarn travel direction is 2-20(cm), gap (d) between the inner wall of shutter holes and the outermost circle of yarn 2 is 0.5-3cm and a ratio of D/d is 2-10 are satisfied. Distance H from the spinneret 1 to the top of the shutter 4' is 5-20cm. The inner wall of the shutter 4' has a groove satisfying formula I and formula II (W is width and L is depth).
